I have been using Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets for about 2 months now... Wasn't going to try them, was like PussDaddy and didn't think they would work. I like to at least try new stuff even if I don't stick with it. I just tried Purex Complete Crystals fabric softener-it's sand-like crystals and goes in the wash cycle with the laundry detergent. It worked pretty well actually and I was suprised.

They really do get the clothes clean - it's amazing. I keep Shout on hand for pre-treating, and sometimes I add washing soda to the machine when I'm doing towels or sheets, but that is something I've always done.

There's never any soap left on the sheet at the end of a wash cycle. It is possible that the fabric softener could leave spots, like all fabric softeners can do, but I've never had that problem.

I got some of these by ordering free samples but I haven't used them yet. Not sure I really trust them or not to actually clean and not to carry soap over into the dryer and spot stuff.
I do see how they would be convenient in your case tho, or say if you are traveling.

I'm a bit late to the party replying to your article (just found it), but wondered if you had tried linaloe wood oil (Bursera delpechiana) as a replacement for rosewood?

The chemistry is almost identical (90% linalool) and so is the fragrance. Saves all those lovely trees in the rainforest too . . .
