I must take a short break from blogging while I focus on studying for my final aromatherapy exams. There are three exams in total – Materia Medica; Anatomy & Physiology, plus the hand-on practical for massage/bodywork.
Aromafest 2009 will be taking place the same weekend that I’ll be in Guelph, Ontario to write my exams. I’m very excited that I get to take part this year and I’m especially looking forward to the talk about The Effect of Essential Oils on Autistic Behaviour. Of course, seeing all the vendors will be a treat as well, since I am a self-confessed “supply whore”. I’ll be sure to leave the credit cards at home!
If by chance there are some aromatherapists out there who also plan on attending Aromafest, please contact me so we can meet up! Also, if you desire accommodations in the beautiful city of Guelph, my favourite place is the London House Bed & Breakfast. The house is gorgeous and the hosts are just wonderful people. When I visited Guelph for a week in 2008, I stayed in the English Maid’s room on the 3rd floor. I essentially had the entire 3rd floor to myself for the whole week (there were two other guests on two separate nights, but they arrived late and left early the next morning). It was like having my own apartment. Just look at that adorable kitchen! Plus there was an awesome healthy-foods grocery store just a 10 minute walk away. Throw in the fact that someone else was making my bed and cleaning the bathroom -- I almost didn’t want to leave!
Send me all your positive thoughts for next weekend, I’d really appreciate it!
